In indoor sports spaces, the lighting environment plays a critical role in visual comfort and eye health. Poor lighting conditions—such as inadequate illuminance, uneven light distribution, severe flicker, or excessive glare—not only hinder optimal athletic performance but can also seriously harm visual health. Therefore, a professional and high-quality lighting system is essential to ensure the normal operation of sports activities and the healthy functioning of sports facilities.

This case study highlights the lighting project at a military sports training center, for which Zilb Tech provided a high-quality sports lighting system. The project includes four basketball courts, two badminton courts, six table tennis courts, and one Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) area. The design meets the illuminance requirements for both amateur competitions and professional training, and the installation has been completed and put into operation.

A total of 78 sets of Zilb Tech 200W “Lanqing” basketball court lights and 120 sets of “Haoyue” court lights were used in the project. All luminaires were meticulously arranged to ensure optimal illuminance and uniformity while effectively controlling glare and light spillage. The layout maximizes energy efficiency by minimizing the number of fixtures required, ensuring a lighting environment that is both eco-friendly and visually comfortable.
